Jeff Halik is a retired public relations and marketing communications consultant. Previous to operating his own consultancy, Jeff worked as senior director of marketing at The Bonadio Group, a regional accounting firm; served clients at four marketing communications agencies; lived for six years overseas as a civilian public affairs official with the United States Air Force; and spent some time in radio broadcasting and college-level teaching.
He is a past president of the Rochester Rotary Club; past board president of the Seneca Waterways Council, Scouting America; and is past chair of the Public Relations Society of America Rochester Chapter and the PRSA Northeast District. He currently serves as Church Council chair at the Fairport United Methodist Church, and as a board member of Elevate Rochester, and an Advisory Board member of Spirit NYS. Among his recognitions are the Sharlene Brus Award from the PRSA Rochester Chapter, and the National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award.
A graduate of Emerson College with a bachelor of science degree in speech and a major in mass communication, Jeff also earned a master of science degree in organizational communication from Ithaca College, completed the Department of Defense Joint Course in Communication at the University of Oklahoma, and earned the PRSA designation Accredited in Public Relations.
Jeff resides in Perinton with his wife, Lynne Halik, D.D.S. Their children are Wendy Boyce (husband Ryan) and Scott Halik (wife Anne), and their grandchildren are Stella Boyce, Calvin Boyce and Kayley Halik.
