Stephanie Castle is a Program Manager at American Farmland Trust (AFT). Stephanie joined AFT in 2020 and was integral in establishing regenerative ag farmer-peer networks in western New York. Recent achievements include launching a strategic campaign to elevate gender equity in agriculture and establishing a policy coalition to advance women’s issues in the state legislature. Prior to joining AFT, Stephanie led a coalition of ten Soil & Water districts in the Genesee River, providing direct technical assistance to farmers and developing metrics to quantify conservation impacts. Stephanie began her career in Vermont as an environmental analyst at a congressionally appropriated bi-national regranting institution. She holds a M.S. in Geoscience from Boston College and a B.A. in Environmental Science from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. A fifth-generation farmer, she owns and operates a small farm in Churchville, NY.
