Nathaniel is the Executive Director of Taproot Collective, and the Chair of the Rochester Food Policy Council. He holds a Masters in Urban Planning, specializing in Food Systems and Community Health, from the University at Buffalo. A lifelong resident of Rochester, Nathaniel has a decade of experience in urban agriculture, community development programs, and food systems policy. Over the last decade, Nathaniel has been a researcher at the Food Systems Planning and Healthy Communities Lab, managed urban ag programs at Foodlink, coordinated the Urban Agriculture Working Group, and served as the Board Chair of the South Wedge Planning Committee. Outside of work, Nathaniel is an avid gardener, aspiring potter, and a former nationally-recognized chocolatier.
