Laura Fox O’Sullivan is the Regional Director for NYS Empire State Development in the Finger Lakes and the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council, roles in which she is focused on improving our region’s economic vitality and collaboration through high quality job opportunities, supports for businesses in key industries, and placemaking to attract families to call our region home. Prior to joining Empire State Development, Laura was the founder and President of the region's first food business incubator, The Commissary, as Vice President of the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation.  She holds a Bachelor’s in History of Art and Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Urban & Environmental Planning & Policy from Tufts University.  As an urban planner and native Rochestarian, Laura has a keen interest in facilitating access to our region’s economic health for all its residents.  Laura grew up in the food industry and is married to entrepreneur and restaurateur Marty O’Sullivan. She lives in the historic Village of Pittsford with her husband, three young children, and many pets.
