Dr. Jane van Dis

Jane is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Rochester.  She lectures nationally and internationally on the intersection of the climate and plastic crisis and maternal health.  She Co-Founded OBGYNs For Sustainable Future, an interest group of Heatlhcare Without Harm.  Dr. van Dis has published in academic journals on the climate crisis and women's health.  Dr. van Dis serves on the board of Mayday Health and locally on the Brighton Ambulance Board.  She currently admins OB Mom Group – a nonprofit of 6,800 OBGYNS. She is an Editor at the Journal of OB Hospitalist Medicine and is a single mom to teenage twins. She has a TikTok where she addresses climate, pollution and women's/maternal health.
